Below are some basic facts about plug-in solar systems:

-  Systems are limited to 800W.
-  Systems do not require an MSC (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) installation.
-  A G98 registration is required within 28 days of system commissioning.
-  Plug-in solar is not designed for export back into the national power grid.
-  Systems are required to stop generating when unplugged or grid power fails.
-  All installations need to be compliant to BS 7671, inc. Appendix 4 & Part P/Building Regs.
-  Plug-in systems are ideal for smaller installations, renters, they can be removed as required.
-  If connecting to a RCBO, these should be bi-directional.
-  Whilst plugging in is simple, we recommenced units are hard wired through a double pole         isolator, ideally on their own dedicated circuit, connected to your consumer unit.
-  Extension leads should never be used.
-  Connecting more than one system is not recommended.
